The Round-Up: First Edition

Every week, I discover new recipes, videos, music, and more.  So I’ve decided I’m going to take a moment every Friday to share these with you, in a quick, easy-to-read format.

Here’s what I’ve found this week:

New favorite recipe: This marinade for Spicy Beef Kabobs from Alton Brown is delicious.  Bryce and I made two pounds worth, and managed to eat it all in one sitting.  (So much for having leftovers.)

Ingredient I’m loving right now: Sweet Corn. Living in Nebraska, we get some of the best of the best, and for dirt cheap.  Try it on the grill, or check out The Food Network’s In Season section for recipe ideas.

Album that hasn’t left my CD player: “Live at the Point” by Matt Nathanson.  I love the acoustic versions of his songs, and his adlibs in between are hilarious, specifically his St. Louis Pants story (Track 12).

Video I can’t stop watching: Adele singing “Someone Like You” at the 2011 VMAs. She puts so much heart and soul into her performances, not to mention she has a killer voice. I love her old school sound.


Song I can’t get enough of: “Super Bass” by Karmin.  They recently released this Nicki Minaj cover, and it rocks.  They’re very talented musicians. (Check out my New Music Tuesday post about them.)
